Now darling of China’s fashion Week, designer Xuechu Qing spent ten years working with clothing firms that designed and produced clothes for overseas fashion labels, especially for the Japanese and Korean markets. Towards the end of her tenure, she had stints in Japan and Korea, where she was enthralled by Japanese and Korean folk culture. Spurred on by her friends in the industry, she started her own label in 2011. Recognized for her keen eye and masterful craftsmanship, Qing experiments with silhouettes and a myriad of patterns, to produce high-quality garments in her inimitable relaxed, retro style. We especially like her printed chiffon dresses.
